Dearest Porky,
we are having a terrific time at the station here and hanging out for some whale watching as they pass through here along the coast in abundance. The station is very well appointed with solar hot water showers, neat old and newer buildings, environmentally conscious set up incl. coastal care, protection of the local flora and marine life. Part of the station are those powerful blow holes along its coastline. As you can see He loves it.

We had 2 days of massive wind here, good for people into kite surfing, with ample of sand blowing across our camp. Rainwater is rather limited in this region, therefore bore water is the main source of 'liquid on tap'. They enjoyed their crunchy prawn soup and when the morning came She had a real surprise coffee from their plunger. Not only did it have a decent amount of salt in it but in addition the lovely flavour of the previous day's chai. They giggled a lot and thought it could be some new culinary discovery. She did the dishes (at least she can do that!) and we all admired the beautiful marble effect on their wine glasses thanks to the rich bore water.

The light house overlooking the coast at Quobba Station.

Disused shearing shed at Quobba Station, fantastic stuff inside, I'll tell you all about when I'm back.

Hot water donkey twins

Shearer accommodation unused, we think.
Tomorrow we are making our way further South, not too quickly as the temperatures slowly drop.
Whalebone Bay which is about 80km South of Monkey Mia.
wish you well and have a pleasant winter.
Always yours, Petunia
