We left the rest area with the windmill to travel along the highway for another 232km and arrived at Cape Crawford in the mid morning hours, just passing through tho to connect to the Carpentaria Highway: destination Daly Waters on the Stuart Highway.
Driving off the Stuart Highway toward a dried out Billabong behind the Aerodrome of Daly Waters was a good choice, away from the caravan park and its famous Pub serving ‘Barra and Beer’.
Our ‘neighbours’ were a couple driving around Australia only to have a vague recollection where they have been. They both liked 🥃 or 2, him being the carer for her suffering from schizophrenia.
She apparently swings knives when she has an episode but assured us we were safe that evening. 😅
